Documented AWeber plans
| Plan | Documented starting point | Send model | Primary question |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 in the help centre | 3,000 monthly emails | Is it currently offered to your account and region? |
| Lite | $15 monthly or $150 yearly at 500 | 10 times subscriber tier | Do its quantity limits fit? |
| Plus | $30 monthly or $240 yearly at 500 | 12 times subscriber tier | Do advanced reporting and unlimited assets justify it? |
| Unlimited | $899 monthly in help documentation | 15 times subscribers | Does a high-volume alternative cost less? |
The Free and trial distinction
AWeber's help centre states that Free supports up to 500 subscribers, 3,000 monthly emails, one list profile and one workflow. Its main pricing page prominently promotes a 14-day trial of Lite or Plus. These are different offers: a permanent restricted plan and a temporary trial that later bills the selected paid plan.
Because the official surfaces are not perfectly aligned, EmailTonic will not promise that every visitor can open a permanent Free account. Check the signup path without completing a purchase, capture the region and date, and confirm whether a card is required.
Calculate the send allowance
Lite permits monthly sends equal to ten times the subscriber ceiling of the selected tier. Plus raises that multiple to twelve. A 1,000-subscriber Lite tier therefore documents 10,000 monthly sends even if the account currently holds fewer contacts. Count campaigns and automated messages together.
A weekly newsletter consumes roughly four sends per active subscriber each month before welcome, sales or re-engagement sequences. A business sending frequently can reach the allowance before it reaches the subscriber ceiling.
Compare annual cost, not the first invoice
Build three scenarios for the expected list size. Add the paid tier, required users, external form or commerce tools, design work, migration and the cost of operational time. Annual billing can reduce the effective monthly price, but it also commits cash before the workflow is proven.
Plus should solve a named constraint such as unlimited automations, landing pages, custom segments or users. If the requirement is a sales pipeline, service desk or complex account model, upgrading the email plan may not solve the real problem.
Pricing recommendation
Use a no-cost option only to validate a controlled workflow. Choose Lite when its asset and user caps leave operating room. Choose Plus when advanced reporting, branding removal or unlimited quantities remove a measurable constraint. Recheck the live checkout immediately before purchase because pricing and promotions can change.
Pricing worksheet before checkout
Record expected active subscribers at months one, six and twelve. For each month, multiply regular campaigns by recipients, then add welcome, nurture, sales and re-engagement messages. Compare that total with the selected tier's documented send allowance and leave capacity for an unusually busy launch.
List the number of users, lists, landing pages, automations and custom segments the operating plan requires. Mark which items exceed Lite limits and which Plus capabilities would actually be used. Add tax, annual commitment, migration time, external integrations and transaction fees. Finally, save the checkout price and renewal terms because promotional pricing can differ from the standard table.
Keep variable claims under control
Save the source URL, verification date, currency, region and selected subscriber tier for every price or plan limit used in the decision. Recheck those facts immediately before purchase and whenever AWeber changes its pricing or signup journey. Treat promotional banners as temporary offers, not permanent product facts. If documentation and checkout disagree, the live account and written confirmation from the provider should determine the operational decision, while the discrepancy remains visible to readers.
